Do I need to pay to be listed?

No. The Free tier is free forever. You'll show up in searches, you can be contacted, and you get the page-view stats. Paid plans unlock photos, hours, reviews and search priority.

What is the difference between Verified and Verified+?

Verified is the baseline. Every listing has been checked through whatever method fits the business type. That's NZBN for most businesses, ACNC for registered charities, AHPRA for allied health professionals, Supply Nation or Kinaway for Indigenous businesses, and other recognised bodies where appropriate. Verified+ is the extra trust layer. It costs $99/yr standalone (or it's included free with Premium), and gives you the physical 100mm window sticker with unique QR, the Verified+ badge on your profile, inclusion in the Verified+ Businesses search filter, and 30% off all advertising rates. Verified means you've been checked. Verified+ means you've gone the extra step.

How does the sticker actually work?

It's a 100mm round vinyl sticker with a unique QR code printed on each one. When a customer scans it, they land on your profile after a quick two-second confirmation screen. The QR tracks scans so you can see how often it's used and from where. The sticker itself is 7-year UV vinyl so it survives outdoor placement.

Can I reorder a sticker if I lose it or it gets damaged?

Yes. Verified+ subscribers get one free replacement per year. Beyond that, replacements are $20 plus postage. We print Founding and Early Adopter stickers in batches of 100 (50 active plus 50 replacements held in reserve) so your cohort number stays yours forever, even if you need a new physical sticker. Your old QR code is deactivated when a replacement is ordered.

Why is there a Founding Member program?

The first 30 businesses on a new directory take a risk by joining before there is much traffic. The Founding badge and discount say thank you for that. After the first 30, the next 70 get an Early Adopter discount that is still generous but smaller. From business 101 onwards, it is standard pricing for everyone.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Monthly plans cancel for next month, no questions. Yearly plans don't refund partial years, but you keep the benefits until the end of the year you paid for. Your Free listing stays whenever you stop paying.

Is my business data safe?

Accepted Answer

We don't sell, share or scrape data. We use Cloudflare to block bots and scrapers from grabbing the directory wholesale. Payment data is handled by Stripe, so we never see your card details. Full details are on our Privacy page.

Question 8

What about businesses that don't have an NZBN?

Accepted Answer

We support multiple verification methods. Allied health professionals can verify through AHPRA registration. Registered charities verify through ACNC.  Other professionals verify through their recognised body (CPA, Law Society, RACGP, and the like). Every listing is verified, just not all through the same source.

How does the booking calendar for advertising work?

For the homepage hero, there is a public calendar showing the next eight weeks of availability. Click a week to book it. You can book up to two weeks in any six-week period, which stops one business from dominating. For pool placements (sidebar, in-feed, footer), you buy in by week or month and rotate randomly with other advertisers in the pool. No bidding wars, no surge pricing.
